9.3.3.9 Current Sense Resistor (RSNS) and Current Limit Operation

The CSP and CSN/BUS pins are the positive and negative inputs to the average current sense amplifier (CSA). The TPS25772-Q1 devices sense port A load current across sense resistor, RSNS, located between the CSP and CSN/BUS pins. A 10-mΩ, 1%, power resistor provides a 0 - 50-mV sense voltage over the range 0 ≤ IOUT ≤ 5 A.

A seven bit digital-to-analog converter, IDAC, provides ±50-mA step current limit adjustments and is automatically programmed by device firmware.
