JAJSPW0B June 2023 – June 2024 TPS543B25T
PRODUCTION DATA
The TPS543B25T incorporates both output overvoltage and undervoltage protection. If an overvoltage is detected, the device tries to discharge the output voltage to a safe level before attempting to restart. When the overvoltage threshold is exceeded, the low-side MOSFET is turned on until the low-side negative overcurrent threshold is reached. At this point, the high-side MOSFET is turned on until the inductor current reaches zero. Then, the low-side MOSFET is turned back on until the low-side negative overcurrent threshold is reached. The process repeats until the output voltage falls back into the PG window. After the output voltage falls back into the PG window, the device restarts and goes through a soft-start cycle. The device does not wait the hiccup time before restarting.
When an undervoltage condition is detected, the device enters hiccup where the device waits seven soft-start cycles before restarting. Undervoltage protection is enabled after soft start is complete.
