DC Coupling Considerations

The TRF1305x2 accepts a wide range of input dc common-mode (CM) voltages. Take into consideration the dc current loading of the source when the TRF1305x2 is dc-coupled at the input. Figure 8-4 shows that when the input CM voltage, VICM, is different than the output CM voltage, VOCM, a net dc current flow from or to the source occurs. Equation 1 shows the relationship that the source or sink current, ICM, has with the input and output CM voltages:
