The active Miller-clamp function helps to prevent a false turn-on of the power switches caused by Miller current in applications where a unipolar power supply is used. The active Miller-clamp function is implemented by adding a low impedance path between the power-switch gate terminal and ground (VEE2) to sink the Miller current. With the Miller-clamp function, the power-switch gate voltage is clamped to less than 2 V during the off state. Figure 9-2 shows a typical application circuit of this function.
