6.1 External Power Supply Requirements

The DLP LightCrafter Dual DLPC900 EVM does not include a power supply. The external power supply requirements are:

  • Nominal voltage: 12V DC -5%/+10%
  • Minimum current: 5A
  • Maximum Current: 7A
  • J20 DC connector size:
    • Inner diameter: 2.5mm
    • Outer diameter: 5.5mm
    • Shaft: 9.5mm female, center positive
  • A recommended power supply is Digi-Key part number 102-3811-ND, or equivalent
  • J21 matching connector part numbers:
    • Molex part number: 39039062
    • Digi-Key part number: WM12978-ND

External Power Supply Regulatory Compliance Certifications: Recommend selection and use of an external power supply which meets TI’s required minimum electrical ratings in addition to complying with applicable regional product regulatory and safety certification requirements such as (by example) UL, CSA, VDE, CCC, PSE, and so forth.
