9.3.2.12 Operation in OTD

An OTD fault is when the temperature increases such that the voltage across an NTC thermistor goes below the OTD voltage threshold, VOTD, for an OTD delay time, tOTD_DELAY. CHG and DSG are turned off.

The OTD fault recovers when:

  • The voltage across thermistor gets above OTD recovery threshold, VOTD_REC, for a time of OTD delay OR
  • The voltage across thermistor gets above OTD recovery threshold, VOTD_REC, for a time of OTD delay and load is removed.
