PRODUCTION DATA
An OTC fault is when the temperature increases such that the voltage across an NTC thermistor goes below the OTC voltage threshold, VOTC, for an OTC delay time, tOTC_DELAY. CHG is turned off. The state comparator is turned on when CHG is turned off. If a discharge current is detected, the device immediately switches the CHG back on. The response time of the state comparator is typically in 700 µs and does not pose a disturbance in the discharge event. The OTC fault recovers when the voltage across the thermistor goes above the OTC recovery threshold, VOTC_REC, for an OTC delay time.
