8.3.3.1 VC Current Sinks and Sources

The VC_CS_CTRL register allows the host to enable current sinks (VC1-VC6) or current source (VC0) to attempt to pull the pin up/down to diagnose a VC open-wire condition. There are no internal comparisons done on the pins, it is up to the host to diagnose an open-wire condition using the ADC's. The current sources/sinks are limited to IOWSNK and IOWSRC, therefore special attention must be paid to the size of the external components and the time it takes to discharge any external capacitance.
