In many modern systems (or sub-systems),
multiple voltage rails are often needed (we refer to this as the power tree). Often
these power trees have a specified sequencing up order and reverse sequence down needed
to guarantee reliable system operation. Is not uncommon for these systems to also have
timing specifications which cannot be infringed for correct operation. In this example,
four voltage rails are sequenced and monitored via the ENx outputs and SENSEx inputs,
respectively. Detailed design procedure and component selection is provided below. The
design is summarized in
Figure 9-1.
