Connecting TMAG5115EVM to a motor driver

The following connections must be made from TMAG5115EVM to a motor driver or motor controller in order to commutate a motor:

  1. Connect the black GND wire to GND or the V- connection to the power supply.
  2. Connect the red VCC wire to VCC or the V+ connection to the power supply.
  3. Connect the blue wire (Hall A) to the phase A connection.
  4. Connect the green wire (Hall B) to the phase B connection.
  5. Connect the white wire (Hall C) to the phase C connection.
  6. No external pullup resistors are required with TMAG5115EVM because the necessary pullup resistors are populated on the EVM board.
    1. You can remove the pullup resistors on the TMAG5115EVM if your motor driver includes pullup resistors for the Hall-effect sensor inputs.
