3.3.3 JTAG Connector

The TSW1418EVM includes one industry-standard JTAG connector that connects to the JTAG ports of the FPGA. The FPGA JTAG port is also connected to the USB interface device U4 (FT2232HL from FTDI). This USB interface is the default method for programing the FPGA. This configuration allows the FPGA to be programmed by the HSDC Pro software GUI. Every time the TSW1418EVM is powered-down, the FPGA configuration is removed. The user must program the FPGA through the GUI after every time the board is powered up.
