Power Connections

The TSW1418EVM hardware is designed to operate from a single supply voltage of 5 V DC. The power input can either be from the USB interface or test point TP10 (5 V) and any black test point (5-V return). The selection is controlled by jumper J10. By default, the board is setup to operate from USB power. As an example, the TSW1418EVM draws approximately 0.120 A at power-up and 0.3 A when capturing data from an ADC3683EVM sampling at 65 Msps. Another option for input power is through connector J4 (not installed by default).
