28.3.9 RTC Prescaler Extension

In RTC_x instances only, a three-bit prescaler extension is included to support a longer interval time for a heartbeat function. The RT2PS prescaler allows interrupt generation with a 4s, 8s, or 16s interval.

The RTCCLK is used to provide RTC clock to the outside (512Hz, 256Hz, or 1Hz). The clock source is after the calibration circuit and allows to trim the LFXT offset and temperature compensation register.

For some applications, the raw uncalibrated 32kHz clock can be used as source for other components in the system. For LFSS, LFCLK is a mux option of RTCCLK.
