Jumper Definitions

Table 3-1 shows the jumper definitions of the DAC81416-08EVM.

J6VDD=USB5V

SHORT 1-2 - VDD is connected to the USB 5V (default).

OPEN - Open this jumper when using external power for VDD.

J7VIO SEL

SHORT 1-2 - VIO is connected to the on-board 3.3V (default).

SHORT 2-3 - VIO is connected to the on-board 1.8V.

OPEN - Open this jumper when using external power for VIO.

J8VSS=GND

SHORT 1-2 - VSS is grounded (default).

OPEN - Open this jumper when using external power for VSS.

J13Toggle Select

SHORT 1-2 - TOGGLE2 is connected to the Toggle Input SMA.

SHORT 3-4 - TOGGLE1 is connected to the Toggle Input SMA.

SHORT 5-6 - TOGGLE0 is connected to the Toggle Input SMA.

J18FTDI Enable

SHORT 1-2 - Connects the FT4232 controller to the DAC81416 (default).

OPEN - Disconnects the FT4232 from the DAC81416. Open if external communication is used.
