Line and Load Regulation, Efficiency

  1. Set up the EVM as previously described.
  2. Set the load to constant resistance or constant current mode and to sink 0A.
  3. Increase input source from 0V to 12V.
  4. Increase the current limit of the input supply to 300mA.
  5. Using voltmeter to measure the output voltage, VOUT, vary the load current from 0A to 300mA; VOUT must remain within the load regulation specification.
  6. Set the load current to 300mA and vary the input source voltage from 5.5V to 65V; VOUT must remain within the line regulation specification.
  7. Decrease load to 0A. Decrease input source voltage to 0V.
