2.3 Efficiency

The efficiency of this EVM peaks at a load current of about 6 A and then decreases as the load current increases toward full load. The following images show the efficiency for the TPS54JB20EVM at an ambient temperature of 25°C. Figure 2-1 shows the efficiency over a range of Vin values Figure 2-2 shows efficiency over a range of Vcc values and how the light load efficiency is improved in DCM.
