Summary

As the heart of the electric vehicle, the traction inverter is a system requiring high CPU throughput and flexibility of control peripherals. This document demonstrate how the AM263x MCU can fit into the architecture of a traction inverter reference design with its hardware and software framework. Then the software set-up to use AM263x in TIDM-02014 is discussed in detail. The procedure to test the TIDM-02014 reference design with the TMDSCNCD263 control card is presented. This document is a further addition to the efforts to reduce the learning curve and accelerate the adoption of AM263x in traction systems.
