To spin a BLDC or PMSM motor with
sensorless FOC using the MSPM0, follow these four simple steps:
- Order a supported LaunchPad and
DRV8xxx EVM. Connect the hardware and motor to the Hardware User's Guide for the
specified EVM.
- Obtain the motor’s phase resistance (Rs), phase inductance (Ls), number of
poles, and maximum speed (RPM).
- Launch the specified GUI from the
TI Gallery. Specify the motor parameters, enable the driver, spin the motor, and
evaluate device features using the MSPM0 MCU.
- Evaluate the firmware in Code
Composer Studio or on the CCS Cloud IDE.
