The high-speed mode of the SPI is available on the specified GPIO mux options in the device data sheet. To enable the high-speed enhancements, set SPICCR.HS_MODE to 1. Make sure that the capacitive loading on the pin does not exceed the value stated in the device data sheet.

When not operating in high-speed mode or if the capacitive loading on the pins exceed the value stated in the device data sheet, SPICCR.HS_MODE can be set to 0.
