3.3.5 Selecting Target CPU Version (--silicon_version Option)

The --silicon_version option controls the use of target-specific instructions and alignment. The alias for this option is -mv. If this option is not used, the compiler generates code for the C7100 parts by default. Currently, the available settings for this option are:

  • --silicon_version=7100 (or its alias, -mv7100)
  • --silicon_version=7120 (or its alias, -mv7120)
  • --silicon_version=7504 (or its alias, -mv7504)
