The transmitter and receiver cores can be connected together internally to allow for development and debug. This is achieved by setting RX_MASTER_CTRL.INT_LOOPBACK to 1. Internal loopback will route the signals from the corresponding transmitter to the appropriate receiver pin. No configuration needs to be done in the transmitter.
Figure 12-2350 shows the signal connections with internal loopback.
In this device, there are two FSI transmitter cores (FSI_TX0 and FSI_TX1), and six receiver cores (FSI_RX0, FSI_RX1, FSI_RX2, FSI_RX3, FSI_RX4, FSI_RX5, FSI_RX6). When using loopback mode, FSI_TX0 can be used in the loopback mode with FSI_RX0, FSI_RX1, and FSI_RX2 . At the same time, FSI_TX1 can be used in loopback mode with FSI_RX3, FSI_RX4, and FSI_RX5.
