Device Recommendation

This reference design can be implemented using two similar digital temperature sensors, the TMP117 and the TMP116. The two devices differ in the accuracy of measurements (±0.1°C for TMP117 and ±0.2°C for TMP116) and the temperature range (–55°C to 150°C for TMP117 and –55°C to 125°C for TMP116). Due to the increased accuracy of the TMP117, we recommend the TMP117 be used. This design will focus on the TMP117; however data will be taken for both devices.
