DLP LightCrafter Dual DLPC900 Connections

Figure 2-3 depicts the switches and connectors with the respective locations.

Note: Power supply (and cable), USB cable, and display cable are NOT included with the module.

Connector Reference EVM Function Description or Use
SW1 Hardware Reset Switch When pressed resets both DLPC900 controllers. When released, both controllers boots from reset.
J1 HDMI Input Video input to Video Splitter FPGA and DLPC900 controllers. For Video or Video Pattern inputs (primary).
J2 DisplayPort Input Video input to Video Splitter FPGA and DLPC900 controllers. For Video or Video Pattern inputs (secondary).
J3 EDID jumper (HDMI) When jumper is installed, the EDID prom for the HDMI interface can be updated.
J4 EDID jumper (DisplayPort) When jumper is installed, the EDID prom for the DisplayPort interface can be updated.
J5 FPGA programming connector (Intel video splitter) Connect Intel (Altera) FPGA programming tools to program the Video Splitter FPGA.

  • Pins 11, 12, 13, and 14 are ground.
J27 Trigger output connector Trigger Outputs 1 and 2 for triggering the DLPC900 with external input signals (from Cameras, processors, etc.) See Section 5.2.
J28 Trigger Output 2 voltage level selectors Set the voltage levels of the Trigger Output 2 signals.
  • Jump across pins 1 to 2 for 3.3V

J29 Secondary DLPC900 hold reset When jumper is installed, the controller is held in RESET.
J30 External Parallel Video Connector Used for direct connection to an external parallel video source.
D5 FPGA Init-Done When lit indicates the FPGA configured without errors after power is applied.
D6 Primary DLPC900 Red fault status LED When lit indicates a fault has occurred in the Primary DLPC900 controller.
D7 Primary DLPC900 Green Heartbeat LED When toggling indicates Primary DLPC900 controller is operating.
Note: The heartbeat operates even if no DMD is present.
D8 Secondary DLPC900 Red fault status LED When lit indicates a fault has occurred in the Secondary DLPC900 controller.
D9 Secondary DLPC900 Green Heartbeat LED When toggling indicates Secondary DLPC900 controller is operating.
Note: The heartbeat operates even if no DMD is present.
D11 12V Power LED When lit indicates external 12V supply is on.
D12 PWRGOOD LED When lit indicates power is within the expected limits.
