Reprogram Controller Board for a Different Supported DMD

To reprogram the controller to support a different DMD, perform the following:

  1. With the board powered off, place the boot hold jumper onto the EVM.
  2. Power up the EVM. Upon power up, the default DMD in the GUI is the DLP6500.
  3. Select the new target device from the GUI menu.
  4. In the Firmware tab, click the Browse button. Search for the firmware in the TexasInstruments-DLP\ directory that matches the target DMD. For the dual controller EVM this is either the DLP9000 or the DLP500YX. Select either the primary and secondary OOB images or the primary and secondary custom firmware images that match the target device.
  5. Click the Upload button and wait for the process to complete.
  6. Power down the EVM and remove the boot hold jumper.
  7. Attach the new hardware and power on the EVM.
