Introduction

The EVM uses a MSP430F5528 microcontroller along with a USB interface to enable the user to datalog results and interface with the ISOTMP35 analog output. The EVM is separated into two sections, the microcontroller section, and the sensor section. The sensor section can be separated from the microcontroller section. Then, the sensor side of the EVM must be reconnected to the microcontroller side to operate the ISOTMP35 in a high temperature or high voltage environment. The EVM has a bottom-side copper plate that can be glued or screwed onto a high voltage heat source for easy user evaluation.

This user's guide describes the characteristics, operation, and use of the ISOTMP35 Evaluation Module (EVM). A complete schematic diagram, printed-circuit board layouts, and bill of materials are included in this document.
