Peripheral access protection is a fault avoidance measure to block unintended accesses from each master. Each module has a configuration to control the type of accesses to be serviced from each master (CPU, CLA, DMA). After programming peripheral access protection registers, each master can exclusively control the peripheral to safeguard usage by particular application against errant writes or corruption by other masters in the system. This is enabled using the dedicated access control bits per peripheral that allows or protects against the access from given master. Each peripheral has two bit qualifiers per master to decode the access allowed.
