9.3 Downloading Without an IAR License

Use the following steps and the installed IAR Embedded Workbench 5.5 (if a valid IAR Embedded Workbench 5.5 license is not available) to download the executable code:

  1. Open the project workspace as described in Section 9.2: steps – . Connect the board to the MSP-FET430UIF as described in step in Section 9.2.
  2. Then select Project → Download → Download File… from the menu, as shown in Figure 9-12.

  3. When prompted for selecting the file, select from the folder Submeter i2040 4k_3_SOCK_AUTO_OSR_IAR5.5 \emeter-app\emeter-app-i2041\Debug\Exe. The file is named “emeter-app-i2041.d43”, as shown in Figure 9-13.
