6.2.1.2 Structure and Array Alignment

Structures are aligned according to the member with the most restrictive alignment requirement. Structures do not contain padding after the last member. Elements of arrays are stored in the same manner as if they were individual objects.

The minimum alignment for arrays is that required by the type of its elements.
