FOC Bandwidth Selection

The FOC algorithm is periodically executed in the interrupt routine to update the rotor angle to extract the maximum efficiency from the motor. This FOC rate can be configured by user based on the application bandwidth requirements.

HIGH_FREQ_FOC_EN bit configuration in the Section 5.3.6 can be set to 1b to get the maximum FOC execution rate of 10kHz. Setting this bit to 0b reduces the maximum FOC execution rate by 2.

Note: FOC routine can only be executed at a multiple of PWM frequency, Hence, the maximum achievable FOC rate of 10kHz is applicable for PWM frequencies with multiple of 10 (for example, 10kHz, 20kHz, 30kHz). For PWM frequencies of 15kHz, 45kHz, and so on, the maximum FOC rate is 7.5kHz (15kHz/2, 45kHz/6, and so on).
