Specification

The TAS2120 is a digital input Class-D audio amplifier optimized for delivering best battery life for music playback and voice calls.

The integrated boost operation is flexible so that TAS2120 can be implemented in 1S and 2S battery applications. TAS2120EVM showcases the 1S battery broadly used in mobile and industrial applications. The two EVMs can be interconnected, as shown in Section 3.10.

For 2S battery applications, the boost inductor can be supplied by a higher supply from 4.7V to 10V. VBAT pin must still be supplied by a voltage from 2.5V to 5.5V.

In a 3S battery application, the integrated boost can be bypassed, and an external power rail can supply PVDD directly. The boost inductor is not required in this case and SW pins are left open. VBAT pin must still be supplied by a voltage from 2.5V to 5.5V.
