2.2 Digital Supplies

Both VDD1P1 and VDD3P3 supplies must have 0.1-µF bypass capacitors to VSS (ground) in order for proper operation. The recommendation is one capacitor for each power terminal. Place the capacitor as close as possible to the terminal on the device and keep the traces as short and wide as possible to the vias that are used to connect to the power planes. Smaller value capacitors like 0.01 µF are also recommended on the digital supply terminals.

When placing and connecting all bypass capacitors, high-speed board design rules must be followed.
