5.1 Low VCC Input Range Supporting –40°C

The input common mode range for the op amp with a 3-V supply at –40°C is 0 V to 1 V, as per the data sheet. This design requirement is easy to meet when the input signal is small. It is also easy to meet when an inverting gain configuration is used because this configuration allows for a fixed common mode voltage to be set between 0 V and 1 V.
