Introduction

The TLC3555 is a monolithic timing circuit fabricated using the TI LinCMOS™process. The timer is fully compatible with CMOS, TTL, and MOS logic and operates at frequencies up to 3.5MHz. As a result of the high input impedance, this device uses smaller timing capacitors than those capacitors used by the bipolar NE555 family. And, more accurate time delays and oscillations are possible. Power consumption is low across the full range of power-supply voltage.

This user's guide describes the characteristics, operation, performance, and use of the Texas Instruments' TLC3555 evaluation module.

This user's guide contains information and support documentation for the TLC3555 evaluation module. Included are the circuit description, schematic, and bill of materials of the TLC3555EVM. Throughout this document, the terms evaluation board, evaluation module, and EVM are synonymous with the TLC3555EVM.
