It is recommended that users avoid shaping the signals to the gate driver in an attempt to slow down (or delay) the signal at the output. However, a small input RIN-CIN filter can be used to filter out the ringing introduced by non-ideal layout or long PCB traces.
Such a filter should use an RIN in the range of 0 Ω to 100 Ω and a CIN between 10 pF and 100 pF. In the example, an RIN = 51 Ω and a CIN = 33 pF are selected, with a corner frequency of approximately 100 MHz.
When selecting these components, it is important to pay attention to the trade-off between good noise immunity and propagation delay.
