5.3.5 Safety Overcurrent in Charge (SOCC) Permanent Fail

The BQ76972 device integrates a Safety Overcurrent in Charge (SOCC) Permanent Fail, which can permanently disable the pack if the charging current reaches or exceeds a programmable threshold for a programmable delay time. The threshold is set by Permanent Fail:SOCC:Threshold, and the delay is set by Permanent Fail:SOCC:Delay. This PF check is enabled by setting the Settings:Permanent Failure:Enabled PF A[SOCC] and Settings:Manufacturing:Mfg Status Init[PF_EN] configuration bits.
