Introduction

This user's guide describes the characteristics, operation, performance, and use of the Texas Instruments' TPS51375 evaluation module (EVM). The TPS51375EVM is designed to help user easily evaluate and test the operation and functionality of the TPS51375. This user's guide includes the following:

  • Setup instructions for the hardware
  • Printed-circuit board layouts for the EVM
  • Schematic diagram
  • Bills of material
  • Test results for the EVM

The TPS51375 is a single, D-CAP3™ control mode, synchronous buck converter requiring a very low external component count and has the following features:

  • 4.5V to 24V input voltage range
  • Adjustable output voltage (0.6V to 5.5V)
  • Integrated 10mΩ/ 5mΩ MOSFET
  • Support 12A continuous output current
  • 270uA low quiescent current
  • ±1.0% reference voltage accuracy at 25°C
  • D-CAP3™ for fast transient response
  • Fixed switching frequency at 600kHz
  • Eco-mode™ under light load operation
