Description

The TPS56837H and TPS56837HA are high-efficiency, easy-to-use, synchronous buck converters with wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V. The devices support up to 8A continuous output current at output voltages between 4V and 22V, and support 5V, 9V, 15V, 20V dynamic output change for USB Power Delivery (USB PD) application.

The TPS56837H and TPS56837HA use D-CAP3 control mode to provide fast transient response, good line and load regulation, no requirement for external compensation, and support low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors like MLCC.

The TPS56837H and TPS56837HA operate at Eco-mode to attain high efficiency at light load with fixed 500kHz switching frequency and three selectable current limit through MODE pin configuration. The TPS56837H and TPS56837HA have adjustable soft-start time by the SS pin capacitor configuration.

The TPS56837H and TPS56837HA provide complete non-latched OV, UV, OC, OT, and UVLO protections combined with power-good indicator features. TPS56837H supports output discharge function and TPS56837HA disables the function.

The TPS56837H and TPS56837HA are available in a 10-pin, 3.0mm × 3.0mm, HotRod QFN package, and the junction temperature is specified from –40°C to 150°C.
