Reference the EVM connections described in Table 3-1 to evaluate the LMR54450-Q1. While working at an ESD-protected workstation, ensure that any wrist straps, bootstraps, or mats are connected and referencing the user to earth ground before power is applied to the EVM.
Label | Description |
---|---|
VIN_EMI | Positive input power connection on terminal J1. |
GND | Negative input power connection on terminal J1. |
VOUT | Positive output power connection on terminal J3. |
GND | Negative output power connection on terminal J3. |
Label | Description |
---|---|
VIN (TP1) | Positive input sense terminal. Connect the multimeter positive lead for measuring efficiency. |
GND (TP3) | Negative input sense terminal. Connect the multimeter negative lead for measuring efficiency. |
VOUT (TP2) | Positive output sense terminal. Connect a multimeter positive lead for measuring efficiency and line and load regulation. |
GND (TP4) | Negative output sense terminal. Connect the multimeter negative lead for measuring efficiency and line and load regulation. |
GND | Ground reference point |
EN | Precision enable input and input voltage UVLO protection. Place a shunt from EN to GND to pull down the pin and turn OFF. Float EN select for default ON enable. |
PG | Power-good monitor output. This is an open-drain flag with a 110-kΩ pullup resistor to VOUT. |
BODE | Bode plot measurement and signal injection. A 20-Ω resistor from BODE to VOUT facilitates oscillator signal injection for bode plot measurement. Apply a swept-frequency signal between BODE and VOUT while measuring the respective response at each terminal for loop gain measurement. |
