4.1 Hardware Connections Overview – DRV8317HEVM + LAUNCHXL-F280049C

Figure 4-1 shows the major hardware blocks of the DRV8317HEVM. The DRV8317HEVM is designed for an input supply from 4.5-V to 20-V. The DRV8317 includes three integrated half-bridges that can drive up to 5-A peak current which can be used in conjunction with an external MCU for sensored or sensorless trapezoidal control, sinusoidal control, or Field-oriented control (FOC).
