6.3.1.3 CSI-2 Protocol Layer

There are two different types of CSI-2 packets: a short packet and a long packet. Short packets have information such as the frame start/ line start, and long packets carry the data after the frame start is asserted. Figure 6-1 shows the structure of the CSI-2 protocol layer with short and long packets. The DS90UB953A-Q1 supports 1, 2, and 4 lane configurations.
