7.1 Application Information

The TPS61169 device is a step-up DC-DC converter which can drive single or parallel LED strings for small- to large-size panel backlighting. This section includes a design procedure (Detailed Design Procedure) to select component values for the TPS61169 typical application (Figure 7-1).
