6 Brief Description of Diagnostics

This section provides a brief summary of the diagnostic mechanisms available on the TMS320F28004x MCU device family. The diagnostic mechanisms are arranged as per the device portioning given in Figure 5-1. At places where the safety mechanism is applicable for more than one component, it is placed at an appropriate place based on the applicable use case scenario.
