22.11.2 Exiting DE Mode

DE mode can be exited in two ways, based on the DECTL[MODE] setting:

  • Software clear of DEACTIVE flag, DECLR[CLR]
  • Cycle-by-cycle clear mode, in which TRIPH_OR_TRIPL is evaluated on every EPWMxSYNCPER and if the trip condition is not present, then DEACTIVE flag is cleared. Figure 22-56 illustrates the clearing of the DEACTIVE flag based on EPWMxSYNCPER.
