The LaunchPad provides two PWM DAC signals at the BoosterPack headers using GPIO22 (BP pin 30) and GPIO31 (BP pin 70) buffered outputs through U18. The intended purpose of the PWM DAC signals are to utilize PWMs of the F280015x device as digitial-to-analog converters (DAC). This method involves low-pass filtering the PWM signal to remove the high-frequency components and ideally leave only the DC component. For more information, see Using PWM Output as a Digital-to-Analog Converter on a TMS320F280x Digital Signal Control.
By default, GPIO22 and GPIO31 are connected to the U18 dual buffer through 0-ohm resistors R78 and R83 for the PWM DAC outputs. These resistors can be removed to disconnect the signals from U18 and PWM DAC pins as needed.
