The below procedure is a brief summary of the steps required to power on and off the EVM. For more in-depth information, please refer to follow-on sections of this guide.
Power ON Procedure
- Set the boot dip switches of the EVM [SW7, SW11] to the desired boot mode. See Boot Configuration Settings for additional information on how to configure the boot mode of the EVM. By default, switches should be set to boot from MicroSD card.
- Connect the boot media (if applicable).
- Attach the power supply cable to the power input connector [J7] of the EVM. See Section 2.3 for additional information on power supply requirements.
- Connect the power supply to power source (AC power outlet or other).
- Visually inspect the Input Power LED [LD4] is illuminated (color green).
- Toggle/Move the power switch [SW1] from the OFF position to the ON position.
- Visually inspect the power LEDs [LD7, LD8, LD9] are illuminated (color green).
Power OFF Procedure
- Toggle/Move the power switch [SW1] from the ON position to the OFF position.
- Visually inspect the power LEDs [LD7, LD8, LD9] are not illuminated.
- (Optional) Disconnect your power supply from power source (AC power outlet or other).
- If Step 3 performed, then visually inspect the power LED [LD4] is not illuminated.
- (Optional) Remove the power supply cable from the EVM [J7].
