20.3.4.2 Functional Description

The TDC state machine shown in Figure 20-4 controls and monitors the TDC conversion process. The TDC state machine has the following user interfaces:

  • Command
  • Conversion Time Configuration
  • Status and Results

The TDC state machine performs the conversion based on the configuration of the following:

  • Clock source selection
  • Start and stop event selection
  • Prescaler configuration

  • The System CPU must configure the TDC while AUX_TDC:STAT.STATE = IDLE. Allowed exceptions are the following:
