To accommodate the bidirectional I2C
protocol, consider the cost-optimized ISO164x family. Communication between the master
processor and slave devices via the SDA and SCL lines are supported at several transfer
rates ranging from standard (0–100kbps) up to high-speed (3.4 Mbps) modes. The ISO164x
family also enables hot-swap ability on side 2 of the isolator to help prevent
overloading of the I2C bus lines.
Use
the ISO7710 1-channel digital isolator to isolate the alert output from the ADC to
the host.
