2.4.3.1 Shunt Resistor Selection

The minimum shunt resistor value for a 100V/V gain amplifier is given by:

Equation 6. VOUT = 3.3V ＞ RSHUNT × (IMAX × Gain) = RSHUNT × (16 A × 100 V/V)

So, RSHUNT ≤ 2.0625mΩ; since a lower power dissipation is a higher priority, an RSHUNT = 1mΩ is selected for the design.
