3.2.3.2.4 DC-Link Output Capacitance

In single-phase applications, power ripple is present and can cause voltage ripple on the DC link. The DC-link capacitor value was calculated using Equation 15:

A total capacitance of 360 μF was calculated for the 1.6-kW, 400-V, and 50-Hz operating condition. The ALC80A121BD450 device was selected.
