Common-Mode Voltage Limit

When the output of the TMCS1123 is connected directly to the ADC input, the common mode input voltage range of the corresponding ADCs needs to be met, to not impact the performance of the ADC.

For the AMC1035, the common input voltage range is –0.8V to 0.9V and differential input voltage range is –1V to 1V. An additional resistor divider is needed. IN+ and IN- are the input voltages of resistor divider, K is resistor divider ratio. K range can be calculated using Equation 4 and Equation 5:

Equation 4. -1V<K×IN+-IN-<1V
Equation 5. -0.8V<K×IN+-IN-2<0.9V

The differential voltage (IN+ – IN) is in the range of –1.65V to 1.65V, and common mode voltage (IN+ + IN)/2 is in the range of 0.825V to 2.475V, so K needs to be less than 0.364. Make K equal to 0.36 and select 649Ω as R11, R12, thus R6 and R9 need to be 1.13kΩ.
